The following are instructions for installing the open source Sugar CRM community version on your Hostmonster.com web host account.
- Download the full installation file package from sugarcrm.com
- Unzip or Unpackage the the tar or zip file
- Upload the contents of your Sugar CRM folder to your directory of choice via FTP
- Login to your Hostmonster Cpanel and click on the MySQL Databases button on the mainpage of your cpanel.
- Create a new database
- Now create a new user
- Now attach the user and the database you just created together
- Open up your php.ini file and change your PHP Memory limit to 60M and your upload file size to 6M
- Run the SugarCRM Install script by pointing your browser to the base URL of your website (e.g., http://www.example.com)
- Hostmonster already is preconfigured to meet all of the configurations that SugarCRM requires, so continue through the setup wizard
- Choose the "Typical Install" option
- Provide database connection information
- Setup your administrator Password
- Click the install button
You should now have a perfectly running Sugar CRM on your Hostmonster webhosting account. Congratulations. Total installation time on average is about 20 minutes with Hostmonster.
